How are companies ranked on the 2023 Inc. 5000 list?

Companies are ranked according to the percentage growth of their annual revenue over a three-year period. To assess this, we ask for your base year and recent year revenue figures. This gives us a three-year growth period. For the 2023 Inc. 5000, the base year is 2019 and the recent year is 2022.

The equation for growth percentage is:

[(Recent year revenue - base year revenue) / base year revenue] x 100 = total growth percentage

For example, if 2019 revenue was $3 million and 2022 revenue is $15 million:

$15 million - $3 million = $12 million
12,000,000 / 3,000,000 = 4
4 x 100 = 400

In the above example, the growth rate is 400 percent.

The early-rate fee to apply is $245 until March 24, 2023.
The regular-rate fee to apply is $345 from March 25until the final deadline date of April 21, 2023.
The final deadline to submit your Revenue Verification Materials is May 5, 2023.

All submission dates are until 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
