The Best Workplaces honorees are determined by the company audit (benefits score) and employee survey (engagement score) through Quantum Workplace. Companies must meet a minimum score on both the audit and survey to be an honoree. The minimum scores needed will be based on outcomes and size category from applicants for 2024.
The Company Audit: The company audit is done by completing the survey setup questionnaire through Quantum Workplace. This questionnaire (audit) gets scored to give your company its benefit score.
The Employee Survey: The results from the employee survey determine the company’s engagement score. All the raw data from the employee surveys is calculated on a six-point Likert scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) to find an average score that is then indexed to a 100-point scale. Overall number of responses is also factored into the score.
To gather statistically sound results, companies must reach a minimum level of employee participation (based on total number of employees) to be eligible as a finalist. You will need to achieve employee participation based on the following percentages per size of organization for your Best Workplaces submission to be complete.
- 9 employees or fewer = 100%
- 10 - 24 employees = 85%
- 25 - 49 = 80%
- 50 - 99 = 70%
- 100 - 149 = 65%
- 150 - 249 = 50%
- 250 - 499 = 40%
- 500 - 999 = 30%
- 1,000 - 2,999 = 15%
- 3,000 - 4,999 = 8%
- More than 5,000 = 5%
